The heart of IdAuthority is an advanced PKI based server farm. The server farm, located in multiple secure locations, deliver ID Certificates and associated credential data to IdAuthority enabled applications and services.
Delivering Trusts:
When an IdAuthority enabled application or service requests site data, it is known as a "trust". In essence, the data supplied by IdAuthority identifies who is behind the website and provides the end user with associated credentials, varying from very basic company name and country of incorporation, through to shipping details and terms and conditions of websites. The breadth of the details to be delivered as trusts is essentially endless and can be application or customer specific.
IdAuthority is currently delivering near to 1 million trusts every day. As the rollout of applications and services continues, we expect this figure to soon reach the hundreds, if not billions of delivered trusts every day!
Real-time Identity Assurance:
The IdAuthority delivers ID Certificates and associated credentials in real-time. This ensures that the trusts severed to the IdAuthority enabled applications are accurate, valid and up to the second. If any details change, or the website should be revoked by the IdAuthority, every IdAuthority enabled application will benefit immediately.
Open & federated:
IdAuthority is an open standards based infrastructure. As of the initial rollout, IdAuthority is operated and managed by Comodo, the Internet security specialists. As well as allowing third party developers to write IdAuthority enabled applications, IdAuthority itself has been designed to be easily distributed across multiple sites and parties.
Largest Certification Authority in Europe:
IdAuthority already holds 15 million ID Certificates, making it the largest CA in Europe, and its records constitute the largest directory on the web. This provides immediate benefit to the IdAuthority enabled applications and services.
Trusted Name Service Technology
As well as providing real-time identity assurance, IdAuthority also operates a highly advanced TNS. This unique service is an enhancement to the existing DNS and translates the physical world naming system to DNS. TNS operates for all primary and secondary identifiers for a company:

The website associated with these entities may be navigated to directly through use of a TNS enabled application such as TrustToolbar.
